Discover the Granada Geopark
During our guided tour of this beautiful municipality of Guadix in Granada, we will contemplate the architecture of its main historical monuments, among which the Cathedral of the Incarnation and the churches of Santa Ana, Santo Domingo and San Francisco stand out.
We will continue the tour visiting one of the great attractions of the city: the Guadix cave houses. Do you know the origin of these curious houses? After your visit. Time for local reserved lunch. In the afternoon we move to the nearby town of Gorafe. On the outskirts of this small town we will visit one of the most outstanding archaeological sites in this area of Andalusia: the Gorafe Megalithic Park. The set houses a series of dolmens (prehistoric monuments built in stone) dating from the Neolithic era. What was its function? How could these heavy masses move in such a remote time? Our Official Guide Specialized in history and landscapes will explain everything to us.
The megalithic park has also been the subject of various archaeological theories about its possible origins. The experts do not agree on a common position, but during our visit we will try to understand the enigmas generated by this important enclave.
We will return to Granada at the indicated time after visiting Gorafe..
